PROTEST HOLTON at the Portland city club

Where: The Governor Hotel 614 SW 11th Portland

When: Friday April 27th at NOON (come a bit early)

What: Patients and their supporters will be picketing outside the debate to send a message through the media that we are holding Holton accountable for attacking medical marijuana. Come early, we will have signs ready for you. Dress nicely and be ready for a fun event expressing both our support for medical marijuana and our opposition to a politician who attacked us.

There is a crucial vote coming up in the May primary on May 15. Dwight Holton is running against Ellen Rosenblum for Oregon Attorney General. There is no Republican running so the winner of the primary will be our next Attorney General. Holton, as US Attorney for Oregon, led the federal attacks on medical marijuana. The DEA raided state-legal gardens and stole medicine from hundreds of patients. Holton sent threatening letters to virtually every organization trying to help patients with the OMMA and even threatened their landlords. Rosenblum, in contrast,  believes marijuana enforcement should be a low priority and even visited a dispensary this week to meet patients and hear their  concerns. We have never had a clearer choice.

Ballots are mailed around May 1 and must be returned by May 15 to count.
